Most stairlift problems fall into a few groups: the lift has stopped, it is making a noise or beeping, it is due a service, or it is no longer needed. Each of the pages below explains what is involved, what you can safely check yourself, and what an engineer will do.
If you are not sure which service you need, that’s fine. Call us and describe what the stairlift is doing. The engineer will work out the rest.
Most requested
- Emergency stairlift repair for a lift that has stopped, especially if someone is stuck.
- Stairlift battery replacement, because worn batteries cause a large share of breakdowns.
- Stairlift servicing, recommended at least once a year.
Other lifts in the home
Many homes that have a stairlift also have other mobility equipment. The same kind of engineers often handle through-floor lifts, ceiling track hoists and bath lifts, so one call can cover everything.

Frequently asked questions
Which service should I choose if I don't know what's wrong?
Choose stairlift repair, or just call and describe the problem. The engineer will diagnose it on the visit.
Can one engineer look at my stairlift and my hoist on the same visit?
Often yes, if they cover both. Mention every piece of equipment when you get in touch.
Do you fit brand new stairlifts?
Our focus is repairs and servicing. If a repair isn't worth it, we can put you in touch about reconditioned stairlifts or a new lift.
Do you cover the Wirral and Sefton?
Yes. See areas we cover for the full list.
